The Aamir Khan starrer was the first film to open the 100 crore club in India and became the highest grossing film over taking SRK’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi that released just two weeks before its release. The figures that Ghajini achieved over its theatrical run only showcased the unparalleled possibilities Bollywood hadn’t explored.

The film held this prestigious record for more than three years as SRK’s Chennai Express in 2013 became the only the second film ever to enter the 200 crore club and break its record.
