Hina Khan Quits Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai After 7 Years Of Playing Akshara

There are some extremely popular TV serials that can make the actors famous over night! This was precisely the case of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Hina Khan! Since the show aired for the first time in 2009 on Star Plus, the protagonist Akshara played by Hina Khan became her identity. The news is sad for the fans of that show that the actress has finally quit the show!

Earlier there was news that Hina is planning to make an exit from the long running daily soap but the news was false and Hina clarified that she would not quit. It is said that since the show took a leap, the demands and tantrums of the actress have gone up reasonably, wanting to maintain the limelight of the show on herself!

It was reported that she demanded 70% of the screen time on the show in each episode while the love story of the new couple on the show Niara and Kartik is fetching TRPs. Looks like the producers finally stood firm against her demands and Hina has finally decided to move ahead!

Karan Mehra who popularly played Naitik on the serial previously quit the show due to health issues. Karan is now a celebrity contestant in the Bigg Boss house!
