AIB's New Video Featuring Vicky Kaushal And Richa Chadda Will Show All That Is Wrong With Bollywood Songs!

Remember the movies of the 90s? Well, as tweenagers, we have all grown up seeing the songs! Remember the Govinda ke gaane, or any other song for that matter? So there would be this hero and this heroine. The heroine would initially say no, and no and no but the hero will keep following her, go wherever she would go and then, thanks to the constant nagging, she finally falls in love with the hero! As idiotic as it may sound, we have been falling pray to the same kind of stuff even now! So the question is, what is Bollywood teaching us all throughout!

It is this question that AIB aka All India Bakchod is trying to answer. For years and generations, that continues even now, Bollywood has been showing that harassing women in the name of love. It went to a new height when this happened:

In the video, that features Richa Chadha and Vicky Kaushal (both of whom have worked together in Masaan) and Mallika Dua. The video has spoofs of all the famous Bollywood lyrics of all times and shows how molestation and harassment have been normalised, through the ages in Bollywood. Even today, when women are struggling with empowerment and we, the Indians, have fair knowledge of terms like feminism and patriarchy and male gaze and objectification, what we, as men and women do is dance to the tunes of songs like Gandi Baat or 'Chikni Kamar Pe Teri'!

Indian cinema had always trivialised the concept of sexual harassment. And AIB takes so many classic songs that we have all heard and point out how we have always been frivolous about a serious topic. For example, how many times have you seen something like this:

The video also takes a dig at all the polular songs and you can't help but fall in love with the new lyrics that these guys have made:
