Awaaz Uthao : Here's Why Anushka Sharma Is Not to be Blamed For Team India's Loss

I was very disappointed with Team India's loss. Being a crazy fan, it almost broke my heart to lose to the Aussies. Just when we were close to getting it, we lost it. All along I had been live tweeting about the match. Jokes on how Anushka and Virat are responsible for Team India's loss flooded my timeline. At first, I took it casually, thinking 'yeh roz marra ki baatien hai. Kuch na kuch toh chalta hi rahega'. But then the jokes started getting vicious and everything took a very nasty turn. 

I logged on to facebook. To my horror one of my friends had shared THIS:

I did not find this one bit funny. This audio spoke out loud about our mentality. Gf ke chakkar main maara gaya? What does that even mean?! Till when will we treat women as distractions?  

When we have people like KRK who without a thought make tweets like these, it pains me to think of what'll happen to the future of our country. And it wasn't only KRK who tweeted this, there were a 100 others! 

Till when will we blame women? Blaming Anushka for Team India's loss is NOT just a joke. It speaks of our mentality. If it's a rape that's happened, blame the victim. If it's Virat who didn't perform blame his gf! Why does everything, every time boil down to a girl's mistake? Till when will we go on keeping fasts in Navratras but not tend to our behaviour and mentality? Ab bas, ab awaaz uthao. Don't just worship her in photos, respect her in person.
