5 Bollywood Actresses Who Played Both Lovers And Mothers To An Actor!

Each Bollywood film coaxes a different character out an actor and we see them in so many different lights, as lovers, as parents, as children or even the bad guys. But it gets really awkward to see two actors who have played lovers on screen to delve into the relationship of a mother and child. Now as disturbing as the idea is, it has happened a few times in Bollywood where an actress who romanced an actor came on screen as the mother of him! We agree that the age of actresses in Bollywood was really short lived but they just went from being lovers to mothers all too soon! 

Nargis Dutt and Sunil Dutt – The real life couple who fell in love on the sets of Mother India actually had Nargis playing Sunil Dutt’s mother in the film! They later were seen romancing in the 1964 film Yaadein.

Waheeda Rehman  and Amitabh Bachchan – In the 1976 films, Adalat and Kabhie Kabhie she was romancing him and just 2 years later she was playing his mother in the 1978 film Trishul!

Sridevi and Rajinikanth – Sridevi played Rajinikanth’s step mother in the Tamil film, Moondru Mudichu when in reality she was only 13 years old!! Then in the 1989 bollywood film Chalbaaz they were romancing each other!!

Rakhee and Amitabh Bachchan – In 1978 they were romancing each other on screen in the film Kasme Vade and then only a few years later in 1982 she was playing his mother in the film Shakti!

Sharmila Tagore and Amitabh Bachchan  - In the 1975 flick Faraar, Shamila played Big B’s wife and all to soon in 1982 she was playing his mother in the film Desh Premee!!

Big B is certainly a winner in this league !!
