Did You Know Which Alphabet These 8 Bollywood Filmmakers Are Obsessed With!

Bollywood is widely popular for its elements that have largely drawn some or the other superstition in their filmy journey. While actors at one point of time used to carry same digits on each of their cars, actresses wanted a certain kind style they thought was lucky for them.

However the biggest fascination was associated with filmmakers and producers who had this superstition with a certain letter that they used to title their movie with.

Here are 8 Bollywood filmmakers and their superstition with an Alphabet:

Everybody who’s noticed Sajid’s work would know the title of each of his directorial started with the letter H. While he made his debut with Heyy Baby, his following works included Housefull 1 and 2, Himmatwala and Humshakals. Well we don’t really see the H letter working well for him, isn’t it?

After having garnered humongous success on TV with the letter K, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures ventured into cinema and kept the same trend on. They produced movies like Kuch To Hai, Kyunki Main Jhooth Nahi Bolta and Krishna Cottage until she too had enough of this fascination that wasn’t proving out be any good whatsoever.

Karan was largely popular for having made a love affair with the letter ‘K’ ever since he made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. With films like K3G and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna he kept the tradition on and even made all his production ventures have a title with K. Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kaal were amongst such movies! However, Karan got out of this superstition soon and started giving titles that didn’t necessarily start with K.

Rakesh Rohan is one such producer/director who has remained constant with his love for the letter K. From movies like Kishen Kanhaiya in the 80’s, Karan Arjun in the 90’s and Krrish franchise post 2000, Rakesh has rather proved how luck K has been for him. The producer goes on to make movies with the same superstition and the upcoming Kaabil is a fresh example.

The iconic filmmaker we most embrace for having made a film like Sholay also got this fascination for titling his films with the letter S. With films like Sholay, Saagar, Shaan, Shakti and Seeta Aur Geeta, he made his liking with the letter S pretty evident. However, he did get over with the superstition pretty soon.

Filmmaker Om Prakash who is mostly popular for having the Rajendra Kumar starrer Aas Ka Panchhi was popular back then for making films that had their title begin with A. However, as soon as he went out of his superstition and made a film called Bhagwan Dada, the film failed.

Mohan Kumar too like his brother shared the same production and went on to make back to back movies with the title A. Films like Aman, Amir Gareeb, Amba, Amrit and Avtar were some of them. The only film he made not beginning with the letter A was Mom Ki Gudiya.

Veteran and legendary filmmaker Shati Samantha who gave blockbusters with superstar Rajesh Khanna was also known for making movies with the title A. His famous creations like Aradhna, Amar Prem, Anuraag and Anurodh are few such names that only cemented him as an iconic filmmaker but also brought out his fascination out for the letter A.
