12 Bollywood Films That Broke The January Box Office Jinx

You can question Bollywood films for a lot of things but you can never question their popularity or the popularity of their stars. And when something is that popular, it often translates into monetary value a.k.a lots and lots of money.

And Bollywood, being a fully adept industry, achieves its monetary goals by employing several strategies. One of the most popular of those strategies is to release big films in Holidays. And that's how Diwali, Eid and Christmas are the cornerstones for BO success in India. But like we said, Bollywood is an adept industry and so it tries to create more and more of these 'holiday periods'  for big films to release and earn a lot of time. A good example of that is Independence Day period and how for the first time in Bollywood history, it is effectively used by Bollywood marketeers.

And an extension of that plan is to make the Republic Day period just as profitable. But unfortunately. that plan hasn't always worked as January proves to be a difficult month to earn money.

But, obviously, there are a few exceptions...
