Bollywood is a funny place to find love. The love stories of all the film stars that we know and love so much are no less filmy than the movies we see them acting in. While Bollywood is brimming with several such unconventional love stories, the case of Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor was entirely something else. Their love story started a scandal and became a living room discussion as Boney’s first marriage with Mona fell apart due to his obsession with Sridevi.

The popular actress was already pregnant before Boney had divorced Mona and there was a lot being said on the subject. “My marriage was over. Respect, for me, is foremost. Love follows that. As we evolve, we sometimes need change. Boney too needed somebody else, not me. There was nothing left in the relationship to give it a chance because Sridevi was already with a child.” Mona was quoted saying in an interview.

Meanwhile, we came across an old video of Boney Kapoor on Twitter, confessing his love for Sridevi  during a India Today Summit. He unabashedly admitted that he followed Sridevi around everywhere he could and how he had also confessed to his wife that he was in love with another woman!

While all is hunky dory now and their daughters Jhanvi and Khushi are ready for a mega Bollywood debut, it’s interesting to recall how crazy in love Boney Kapoor really was! He had once admitted that it was not just before he married that he developed this affinity towards Sridevi, he infact stated in an interview, “I fell in love with Sri after watching her Tamil film during the late 1970s. I even flew to Chennai to meet her but she was shooting in Singapore. A few months later, I watched Sri’s debut Hindi film Solva Sawan (1979) and realised I wanted her to work with me. One day I went to meet her on the sets of a movie. But Sri was an introvert and wouldn’t talk to strangers. She talked to me in half-broken English and Hindi and just said that her mother took care of her projects.”

Take a look at him confessing his love story at this old India Today Summit where Sridevi was the chief guest.
