Box Office Report: Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2 Flops Big Time

Alas, our dreams, when realised, are not always great!

After much anticipation, Rock On 2 released this Friday to mixed response. The Farhan Akhtar-Shraddha Kapoor starrer, sequel to the runaway 2008 hit Rock On, was particularly criticised for its overly dramatic narrative. 

And now, as if that wasn't enough, the movie has majorly tanked at the BO.  The movie's gross after the first weekend is even more disappointing given it was the only major Bollywood release this Friday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also voiced similar concerns as he reported the film's 3-day total.

It is said that the movie has suffered because demonetisation policy adopted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few days prior. The policy has caused some deteroriation in the overall cash spending of the consumer public.
