Congress Responds to Rishi Kapoor's Tweets About Gandhis By Naming A Sulabh...

A few days ago Rishi Kapoor went on Twitter and attacked the process of naming country’s assets after the Gandhi family. In a series of tweets, the 63-year-old actor questioned the process of naming the assets after a family, rather than those who have contributed to society.

The veteran actor especially targeted the Congress party for naming the assets after the Gandhi family.

Naturally, the actor's tweets proved to be controversial. After a lot of online opposition from the party supporters, Congress party workers gathered in Allahabad on Monday to protest against the actor. And they did so in an unusual way - by naming a toilet after him!

Although the naming is not official, some Congress workers gathered in Shivaji Park area of Allahabad and hung a board bearing Rishi Kapoor’s name outside a Sulabh Shauchalya.

In response to this, the actor said to Mid-Day in an interview: "I am thrilled. At least I will be of some use to someone. These people (Congress loyalists) are of no use to anyone. I take pride in the fact that the Sulabh Shauchalaya is named after me because it is the Prime Minister’s pet project right now."

Stay tuned for Rishi Kapoor's next Twitter antic. Till then, signing off.
