Dangal Trailer – The King Of Content Returns !

The trailer of Dangal proves one thing yet again. Aamir Khan as a producer is a far better professional than Aamir the actor. This is of course a huge statement that I am making but if you look at across the genre content that his production house has driven ,his work as an individual actor almost pales in comparison. The trailer of Dangal which I just saw has brought my faith back in Aamir as one of the better producers that Bollywood has.

I am trying to recall when was it the Aamir Khan productions came up with a dud product.Sure the real movie is yet to come out and its box office judgement is yet to be delivered but the trailer of Dangal is pure adrenalin and emotion driven stuff . In a span of 200 seconds a good idea of the plot is put forward to us.

I had actually started doubting Aamir’s famous sense of script after watching the high on noise low on thrill Dhoom3 and totally dragging PK.

Frankly after Sultan I had always wondered how will Aamir be able to create a story which retains curiosity and freshness value despite having the same backdrop of Haryana and wrestling but the trailer looks very sharp. It speaks about the equality of our daughters ,without at least in the trailer getting preachy.

The small incident of how a father who has lost hope on his life ambition regains his zest and starts preparing his daughters.

It holds back enough to walk into the theater and go ahead and have a look at what promises to be a good emotion driven story of hope triumphing over destiny.

The other thing which stands out in the trailer of Dangal is its sharp one liners. Most of the dialogues in the trailer are one liners. We have now read the mharri choriyan kisi se kum hain ke at many multiplexes where Dangal posters are displayed in their full glory , But Dangal seems to be full of razor sharp one liners. Which most bollywood buffs will for sure dig in.

It does give a glimpse of a very young looking Aamir just at the fag end of the trailer. Probably a plot point that the director want us to wonder about . This one looks a big December winner yet again from Aamir.
