Here Are The 5 Actresses That Can Star In Bollywood's Remake Of Lara Croft

Earlier today, it was reported that Deepika Padukone is set to produce her first film. The film, it is said, will be remake of popular Hollywood action franchise Lara Croft. The movie series, which starred Angelina Jolie, became incredibly popular and is one of the most iconic Angelina Jolie films. 

With this move, Deepika will join Priyanka Chopra -- whose Marathi production released this year -- to become a producer.

According to sources: “Deepika has been keen to start her own production house. She is on top of her game at the moment and wants to enter into film production. Deepika is reading scripts and will only make the big announcement when she finds the perfect debut venture.”

And now it has been reported that Deepika Padukone has chosen Lara Croft for her first production venture. And as she finalises on her project, we set out to look for an actress who will play the high on action and confidence Lara Croft, a role immortalised by Angelina Jolie.

The actress has already done shown her acting chops in Pink and Baby, in the latter of which she has performed some amount of action. 

2. Nargis Fakhri

It is a little known fact that Nargis Fakhri did some amazing action sequences in Hollywood hit Spy. This year she appeared in action comedy film Dishoom and fit right in.

3. Jacqueline Fernandez

Talking about Dishoom, it is hard to ignore Jacqueline Fernandez, who did some interesting action sequences in the film. She also appeared in superhero film A Flying Jatt.

4. Katrina Kaif

Lara Croft is a role that feeds on confidence and good-looks. These traits can easily be associated with Katrina Kaif, who also has action films like Bang Bang in her filmography.

5. Deepika Padukone

Okay, hear us out. We know it is highly unlikely that Deepika Padukone will star in her own production but given how badass she looks in the preview of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, she should really consider doing a solo action movie.
