Did Deepika Padukone Forget To Give Credit To Sudha Menon For Her Father's Letter?

When Deepika Padukone was awarded the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in 'Piku', she shared a little letter of love from her father. She narrated the feelings of her father which were packed in an envelope and if we remember correctly, it moved all of us to tears. Deepika too got really emotional while reading out the content of the letter because it was a father's heartfelt letter to his daughter.

"As you stand on the threshold of life’s journey, I want to share with you some lessons that life has taught me," she read out these lines and hooked a million viewers to their television screens.

"I want to tell you, my children, that there is no substitute for perseverance, hard work, determination and passion for what you choose to do. If you love what you do, nothing else matters," she continued and a flood of emotions took over her power to think.

Deepika then took to Facebook and shared her old pictures with her family and a copy of the letter.

However, it is now being said that the letter is an excerpt from Sudha Menon's book Legacy: 'Letters From Eminent Parents To Their Daughters'. But it was never mentioned that the letter was not drafted by Deepika Padukone's father, Prakash Padukone.

Well, neither the actor nor the writer has been available for a comment. So we don't know whether it was Prakash Padukone's letter in Sudha Menon's book or was it the other way around.
