Exclusive Interview: Ayushmann Khurrana Would Love To Do A Biopic On Kishore Kumar!

Ayushmann Khurrana, the recipient of the Young Achievers Award and the youngest recipient of the Bharat Nirman Award has travelled a long distance to achieve what he has today. A journey that started at the age of 17 continues to move forward in the right direction. From an RJ to an actor and even a singer, Ayushmann has gained great heights at an early age. He showed us a glimpse of his acting talent with 'Vicky Donor' and then continued to amaze us with the different roles he played. 

We caught up with Ayushmann and asked him a few questions about his latest ventures, his endorsements and a bit of personal chat. And since he is endorsing the Vi-John shaving foam we asked him about the look he prefers more. 

"Long time stubble look but now I prefer clean shave look. And I have never been completely clean shaven for any of my films except for ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ the last song where I was clean shaven and I was quite excited to be clean shaven for a change."

 Well, Ayushmann is promoting the brand with none other than Shah Rukh Khan and he happens to be a big fanboy. And did you know that he chose this field because of Shah Rukh Khan? 

"I am a big Shah Rukh fan. I studied journalism because of Shah Rukh. So, I am really excited about 'Fan' and you know that I am a part of Vi-John as SRK is also endorsing the shaving cream and I am endorsing shaving foam. I am playing a double role in the ad and it’s quite parallel with 'Fan'." He further added, "I am a huge SRK fan. I have grown up watching Shah Rukh khan and I used to have his posters in my room."

Fun fact: Ayushmann has been a part of two films in a span of 4 years which have made it to the league of National Awards. How do you think would that feel!?

"It feels great, it feels really great that all the hard work and effort has given us results and apart from that I am glad and fortunate that I was a part of two national award films in four years of my career." 

'Vicky Donor' won the National Award for 'Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment' and 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' was the 'Best Film in Hindi Language'. 

And after the big win, Ayushmann is working with his 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' co-star Bhumi Pednekar in 'Manmarziyan' and he is pretty excited about this collaboration. He says, "I am pretty exciting. It is a different feel altogether. From Uttar Pradesh we are going to Punjab now and I am quite feeling at home. And it’s an exciting project to be part of."

Ayushmann is currently working on two projects - one with Bhumi Pednekar and the other is with Parineeti Chopra. So, we thought if he'd like to answer a question like - Hook up, marry and kill with options being Parineeti, Bhumi, and Yami!

Well, this one's interesting because he was at a loss of words to answer this. He says, "Bhumi is a buddy, we are like really close pals. And Yami is a childhood friend, we have been family friends since school days and Parineeti is the one, well we are working for the first time and we have performed together during the award shows. It’s really tricky, I can’t really answer.

But, Yami is marriage material. Bhumi is full of spunk. And Parineeti is a bit of both."

We also spoke to him about his singing passion and he told us that he is working on  a new single which will be out soon. So, for all the fans out there, who are waiting for more of his songs should know that his new singles would come out really soon and he will surprise us with his talent. And if ever a biopic is made on Kishore Da then Ayushmann would love to be a part of it!
