You Won't Believe Which Filmmaker Wants To Sign Udta Punjab's Diljit Dosanjh!

After crossing hurdle-after-hurdle, Udta Punjab has finally made its way to the theaters. And much to our relief, not only the film is doing well commercially but has gained critical acclaim for the solid execution of its bold subject and fearless acting.

Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the role of a conflicted cop, has also been singled out for his nuanced performance. In a whacky film that had several eccentric characters, his Sartaj Singh was a calming influence brought a much-needed stability to the film.

In case you were wondering that Dosanjh, who is an established superstar in Punjabi cinema, will next return to Bollywood, you can rejoice.

It seems like Diljit Dosanjh has become something of a hot property in Bollywood right now, with several filmmakers itching to get the actor’s signature.

First off, the actor is currently working on Phillauri which is produced by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Films. It will be the second time the actress would turn to producer after last year’s NH10.

Until the start of the week, Dosanjh was also going to star with Ajay Devgn in Baadshaho. But it was reported a few days ago that he is no longer a part of the film. According to sources, the Punjabi superstar left the film due to irreparable differences with the makers of the film.

But don't be disppointed just yet.

It was reported yesterday that Karan Johar is about to sign Diljit Dosanjh for his next film. Though no official announcement has been made by the filmmaker’s Dharma Productions yet, it is expected that it will be made in the coming days.
