Harry Potter Stars Grieve The Death Of Alan Rickman aka Severus Snape

The man who wore the same black robes in eight Harry Potter movies, the man who never got love and actually got more hate until he died for the boy who lived, is no more!

As heart wrenching this may be, but unfortunately our dear or not so dear (as you feel about him), Alan Rickman, obviously adored as Professor Snape from the Slytherin house at Hogwarts has passed away in London. He was battling cancer and was only a month away from his 70th Birthday. While Potterheads are grieving with teary eyes, the woman who created Snape for Alan, the boys and girls who grew up around him are sad too!

    For his family...
This couldn't have been worse! Matthew Lewis aka Neville Longbottom was at the HP studios at Leavesden when he received this news.

    He wrote:

"I was at Leavesden Studios today when I heard the news. As I walked through the canteen I thought of Alan queuing up for his lunch with us mere mortals. I recalled the trailer in which he offered me some of the greatest advice I ever received about this mad profession we shared. Being back in those corridors made me remember a lot of things and I will treasure those memories all my life. He inspired my career more than he ever knew and I'll miss him."

Emma Watson aka Hermione Granger also released a statement.
While we were wondering what's going on in Harry's head, Daniel Radcliffe wrote a long note for Alan on his Google Plus page
