The movie’s gentle comedy is something that can rile up anybody. Paresh Rawal showed such a transformation while acting as Babu Rao that it proves his skills as an actor. The alcoholic Babu Rao with his Marathi accent and Hilarious comeback’s justify his famous dialogue from the movie “Yeh Babu Rao ka style hai”.

Akshay Kumar plays the role of cunning Raju who can go to any limits to earn money. That devious smile of his clearly justifies his humorous cleverness. He is the mastermind of the movie by giving the plot a direction and entertaining us with his weird plans of deception and earning money. Even so his means are unfair he is doing all of this to live up to his mother’s expectations and provide her better living, could he be more sweet.

Here's Why After 17 Years Of Release Hera Pheri Still Manages To Entertain Us

Like every movie requires a scared innocent guy who drops the ball on any plan thats too devious, this movie has Shyam played by none other than Sunil Shetty. It seems quite absurd the man who used to play such bold roles playing a mellow one and that too pulling it off so well. Shyam is like a side wheel who adds the emotional value to the trio by not just being human but falling in love with this woman Anuradha. This romantic plot was very different from those stereotypical love stories that haunt Bollywood. It was gentle one not overshadowing the comic or thrill of the movie.

Overall this movie is a classic because it’s everlasting persona and the fact that it’s a common man’s movie with a lots of comedy and a tinge of thrill and adventure. This movie made me laugh then and can make me laugh now. It’s a blessing to the Indian Cinema, or an example that good hilarious movies do exist.
