Here’s Why We Feel FAN Can Restore Faith in SRK

Here’s Why We Feel FAN Can Restore Faith in SRK

It is an undeniable cinematic reality that a Shah Rukh Khan release isn’t just a movie coming out to test waters at the box office, it’s an event. The magnanimity of the event gets multiplied when you know he has worked his hardest to get into the skin of the character. How often do we see Shah Rukh going out of his masala space to give us something as intriguing as this? While there’s enough buzz amongst the audiences to see what Maneesh Sharma along with Shah Rukh has worked on, the fascinating trailer has quipped the anxiety even further. Here’s Why We Feel Fan Can Restore Faith in SRK

Here’s Why We Feel FAN Can Restore Faith in SRK

SRK Vs SRK - It will be nothing short of a dream for an SRK fan to see him lock horns with himself on screen. The style with which he has worked his way up to create a character as appealing as Gaurav is only a pusher for us to get ourselves a ticket.

No Romance – We don’t know if it’s disheartening for anybody around to not see SRK open his arms in a scenic setting, we for sure think it’s a healthy change for him to have taken. The last time Shah Rukh appeared without an actress in a full-fledged role was way back in 2007’s Chak De! India. We know how that turned out, don’t we?

No Songs – It’s a big deal for Shah Rukh to not get himself to sing and dance. Though the makers have tried and compensate it with a promotional song ‘Jabra Fan’, we know for a fact that Fan is without any songs. What this suggests is a crisp handling of an already taut screenplay that we certainly are looking forward to see.

A Never Seen Before Subject – An obsessed fan of a superstar going against his own idol is something Indian audiences haven’t really seen on screen. This for one appears to be a subject that has freshness on offer. Enough for us to sense substance!

Grey Shades to SRK’s Character – From Darr to Don, from Baazigar to Anjaam, we know Shah Rukh fancies playing negative shades on screen. We may have had second thoughts about his performances while leading as a protagonist but he has never failed as a villain. While it’s too early to judge if he’s indeed playing a negative shade, the trailers have given us a hint.

Maneesh Sharma at Helm – Having directed moderately budgeted movies with relatively new actors, this is Maneesh’s first major venture with a superstar. However, in all his previous directorial outings, he has shown promise. From Band Baaja Baarat and Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl to Shuddh Desi Romance, Maneesh is yet to taste failure. Let’s hope Fan isn’t the one to get him that.

So while you think and make up your mind if Fan is really worth your time and money, we are not wasting anytime to miss the first day tickets. It’s the first time in years SRK has experimented with himself, let’s try and show some backing!
