We really have been underestimating the possibilities of Australian box office for Indian movies. When it comes to Bollywood movies in overseas, we do not really go beyond the markets of US and UK. Of Course Aamir Khan has opened the Chinese markets for us as well and how! But what about the other markets that do largely cater to Bollywood NRI audiences?
While countries like Germany, Pakistan and China are big enough markets for our movies, let’s talk about the region of Australia. There’s a heavy chunk of Indian population living in the country and Bollywood movies do end up putting up some solid figures.
