Top 10 Daily Soaps of Indian Television, According To Their TRP!

We all live to criticise the aggressive mediocrity -- at times, total bizarreness -- of Indian television. But, at the same time, we also realise that it is amongst the most popular mediums of entertainment there is. Indian television shows command impressive audience numbers each day and that is what the term TRP comes in. 

TRP, or Target Rating Point, is a way to determine the behaviour of the audience towards a particular show. It is via this process that the conclusion is drawn regarding what shows are the most popular. And more the popular the shows are, more they attract advertisers, which ultimately translate into more money. Therefore, it becomes necessary to highlight those which attract the more audience, or which have the more TRP.

Colors Channel's Naagin season 2 leads the pack of the shows with the most TRP. It is followed by Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Yeh Hai Mohabbtein. Also on the list is Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagaya and Sab TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma.
