A recent interview given by one of the rapists of the December 16, 2012 rape case to a BBC Journalist has sought radical reactions worldwide - and rightfully so.

The accused, Mukesh Singh shamelessly said, "When being raped, she shouldn't fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape."

The Indian Parliament believes that a documentary such as this should not be released because of  violation of permission conditions. Many have opposed the government's take on the documentary which led to a massive debate in both the Houses of Parliament today.

Lok Sabha member Kirron Kher stresses that safety of women in India is the responsibility of the men in the society.

She also said that its about time that mothers change their mindset and stop bringing up their daughters only to do the household chores and to lock themselves up post 7 pm.

Veteran Lyricist and member of the Rajya Sabha, Javed Akhtar slams his fellow colleagues who themselves talk about similar cases in the House of Parliament, but want to sabotage the release of the documentary on Nirbhaya which exposes a rapist's state of mind.

Rajya Sabha MP and actress Jaya Bachchan expressed that members of the House of Parliament and stop crying crocodile tears instead take actions against such rapists!

We only hope that Bollywood's support  on issues such as this not only helps the Parliament take the right decision, but also citizens from repeating shameful actions.
