How Big A Price Does Kapil Sharma Have To Pay For His Drunken Fight With Sunil Grover On A Flight?

The controversy over Kapil Sharma’s fight with Sunil Grover is just not cooling off with new rumors floating each day and trying to determine the fate of The Kapil Sharma Show. Indeed the two comedians have parted ways and the separation has neither been surprising or amicable, but whatever followed the new of their separation has been more disheartening.

Kapil Sharma was alleged to have fired abuses at Sunil Grover while the entire team of the show was flying back to Mumbai after their performance in Sydney. After the news broke out, the duo had a one to one session on social media where Kapil was profoundly apologizing for what happened while Sunil Grover was not so forgiving about any of it.

Apart from Sunil Grover, who aced the characters of Dr. Mashoor Gulati and Kiku Bhabhi on the show left and his other so actors including Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar and Sugandha Mishra followed suit. Now rumors range from Sunil Grover’s show to replace Kapil Sharma’s and the creative director and Kapil’s alleged ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes and Navjot Singh Sidhu have also abandoned the show.

In an interview with Times Of India, Preeti Simoes squashed all rumours of abandoning The Kapil Sharma Show and said, "I've just got back from my break. I will share my plans soon Kapil has a team in place with a few new members joining in. They have shot the last few episodes. Be it the celebrity line up or content. It is extremely encouraging that you are not truly missed and that has given me time to finally spend with my family who felt pretty ignored all these years."

Well while everyone has their sympathies with Sunil Grover, does it mean that the matter can only end if Kapil Sharma is reduced to nothing and that all the accolades he has earned over the years for his work be disregarded? Why does Kapil’s apology have no regard left in the eyes of the fans that followed him through thick and thin when he had a falling out with Colors TV?

Celebrities have a public image to maintain and are always burdened under the weight of presenting themselves as their cheery best whenever they step outside home. This pressure of being happy all the time is certainly impossible to live up to and the price one has to pay for their unhappy or irritated behavior varies according to how big a star you are. Kapil certainly did not present himself as a very happy man on the flight that day and perhaps that’s why it is completely legit for Air India to have taken their opportunity in the matter and banned him on all their flights.

It certainly did not take an entire day for the guy to become the villain from being TV’s favorite comedy star and the new rumors floating around are certainly not helping his case. It was said that he is not able to manage the weight of his new found stardom, but how many mega celebrities do we know who have not boasted about their stardom in good or bad ways?

With unidentified sources trying to plug in new rumors on the internet each day that go against him it certainly doesn’t seem that the issue will be put to rest any soon, but it is for all to wonder how it feels to be Kapil Sharma right now, who has been abandoned by his colleagues and has half the nation suddenly wishing that his show ends. How much bigger of a price does he have to pay professionally for that one drunken fight with Sunil Grover on a flight? He is busy planning a revamp for his show and we certainly expect the very best to come out of it, for him and for his fans!
