Box Office: Kung Fu Panda 3 Mints 11 Crores In 4 Days
After having taken the international box office by a storm, Dreamworks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 3 found its way in to the hearts of Indian audiences as well. Despite being a much delayed release in the country, the film managed to put up an impressive tally of collections. With the brand Kung Fu Panda already being a big hit among children, the positive international reception seemed to have played an icing on the cake for the movie.
While the film put up an impressive figure of over 10 crores in its opening weekend, what stood out for this animated outing was performing against a stiff competition like Ki & Ka.
With numbers telling an upward story, it was more than clear to its distributors the film wasn’t going to go through a fall on weekdays. Proving to its potential, it got enough patronage on the week days too. After Batman V Super (which is still running well at the box office), this has been a second consecutive successful week for a Hollywood flick.
With The Jungle Book lined up to release this Friday, the producers could only hope the momentum Kung Fu Panda 3 has produced over the week, remains intact for some more days. Let’s look forward to that!
