Monhenjo Daro's Sarsariya: Hrithik's Koi Mil Gaya Hangover Continues!

Monhenjo Daro's Sarsariya: Hrithik's Koi Mil Gaya Hangover Continues!

So finally the makers of Mohenjo Daro came up with a decent song, Sarsariya starring Pooja Hedge and Hrithik Roshan.  Besides saving the face of an otherwise unexciting playlist, the song is about an extremely enthusiastic Chaani (played by Pooja Hegde) who seems to have sneaked out into the town from an asylum  and seems so high on the thrill of it that she starts singing and dancing in Gibberish.  She is being followed around by a funnily dressed Sarman, played by Hrithik Roshan clearly not yet out of his Koi Mil Gaya hangover and seems to be awe struck at her amazement! Brownie points if you guess  there’s a love story cooking!

The two randomly go around the town almost becoming a public nuisance as Chaani beats the drums, throws cotton out of a sack, brings down sheds of local shops, kicks pottery vases, drips her feet in paint and plays hide and seek in the streets, all because she managed to escape! So much for exercising  your right to freedom! It’s only surprising that nobody chases two of them away! Because Bollywood!! Anyway finally the Sarman (Hrithik Roshan) joins in and sings and dances along with Chaani and you won’t guess what happens next! The song ends. An extremely abrupt ending by all means.

The song is a soft number with good music and is worth listening to at least once, avoid the video if you can! For sheer respect to the music avoid the visuals, for it is unbelievable that Rahman’ s genius could meet such fate.  The song has been sung by Shashwat Singh and Sasha Tirupati and is composed by none other than A.R. Rahman.
