    One of the highest grossing films of 2016 was Aamir Khan starrer Dangal and it was a surprise for the viewer to see small screen baahu, Sakshi Tanwar play the big screen mother. In one of the interviews, Aamir confessed that it was his mother who used to watch TV serials and thus suggested Sakshi’s name for the role, when the filmmakers were in the process of casting.

    A seasoned stage, TV and film actor Ratna Pathak Shah was, as usual, praised by the viewers. But when she became that ‘typical’ mommy to two grown up sons - enacted by Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra - in Kapoor & Sons, she stole some major appreciation!
