Nawazuddin Siddique’s View On Pak Artistes Will Totally Prove His Patriotism!

He may have portrayed an immensely obliging Pakistani journalist in Bajrangi Bhaijaan who helps narrow the divide between Indo-Pak, Nawazuddin Siddique’s view on the subsequent spree of statements on Uri attack reflect a different story. On being asked if his views on the Pakistani artistes controversy are the same as Salman’s, the actor said something that shocked everybody. Nawaz said that the Pak actor and artistes should leave the country immediately. Highlighting the tension that’s prevalent between the two countries, Nawaz added that it’s only better for the actors to leave India.

"Right now, the situation between India and Pakistan is very sensitive and they (Pakistani actors) should leave India,” he said. One being told that he’s not siding with Salman, the actor added, “It is not about with which group of actors I belong to. It is a matter of our country. Aur desh se badhkar kuch nahi hai. (There is nothing superior than our country).”

The whole of Bollywood has been found to be divided on the issue. While veterans like Nana Patekar have openly come out in support of the army, Om Puri was slammed for having insulted the soldiers by saying nobody asked them to join the army. Even Kriti Sanon recently joined the bandwagon of stars showing solidarity to Pak actors and said that terrorists and artistes are different.

As for the moment, Nawaz has joined the minority group of fraternity members who share the same view that all Pak artistes should leave the country. Whether it is patriotism or overblown comments not completely thought through, it is for you to decide!
