Here's Why We Feel That Nawazuddin Siddiqui Is The Most Versatile Bollywood Actor Of 2017!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known to bring a new feel to each role he does, and the actor is said to be willing to go great lengths to look how his character is meant to. He has four releases this year, and because all of them belong to completely different genres, Nawazuddin will sport completely different looks in each film.

The actor plays lead role in Nandita Das’s second directorial venture, Manto, which is based on the life of Indo-Pakistani writer Saadat Hasan Manto. Going by the initial photos released recently, Nawazuddin bears a striking resemblance to the late author and playwright.

A source says, “Besides the hair and clothes, Nawazuddin would wear shoes and spectacles similar to what Manto was known to wear. The actor has also read up on his writings and will also imbibe his style of talking.”

The source added that in another film that stars Sridevi, Mom, Nawazuddin plays a semi-bald, spectacled man. This look was achieved using prosthetics. Apparently, it would take about three hours for Nawaz to get ready for a shot. In another project, Munna Michael, the actor sports curls, boots, earrings, sunglasses and a leather jacket. He also sings and dances in the film. Also, in Kushan Nandy’s next film, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz Nawazuddin plays a contract killer,” the source says.

Speaking about the roles he’s playing this year, Nawaz says, “I am discovering myself through these characters. It is never about the physical look; it’s about the mindset of the different kinds of characters, and I enjoy working on that. The appearance is always easy, as it can be done with accessories and costumes. But it’s not just about that. I thank God that the industry gives me the opportunity to play such varied characters.”
