Noor Trailer Drives Itself Totally On Sonakshi, Holds Back Too Much Gives Away Too Little !

Fact is this that after Sridevi , if there is one actress who has used her eyes beautifully to communicate anger, hurt, love, comedy it is Sonakshi. Movies like Lootera ,Dabangg and Akira are testimonies to this fact. Today’s trailer of Noor again only underlines the capability of this lady to emote so intensely by just using her eyes. When you go through the zippy and fast trailer of Noor , you discover what a perfect casting this is. In the first 30 odd seconds of the trailer , you go through about a dozen shades of Noor as a working professional journalist who seems to have a casual attitude and simple wants.

The trailer also gives you a brief glimpse that she does something which shakes her out of her slumber and she sets out on some exclusive ,intriguing story. Sadly or shrewdly whichever way you take it the director does not tell us what it is?

The stand out moment of the trailer of course is when Noor ,probably talking to herself comments on her inner hollowness and draws a parallel with the hollowness of the city she lives in – Mumbai ! She makes another telling point that both deserve a second chance.

The trailer also gives us fleeting glimpses of other characters in Noor’s life a possible or probable boyfriend she gushes about. A friendly sarcastic colleague. Manish chaudhary stands out in his brief moments in the trailer, as the no nonsense boss of Noor.

Having said that the trailer holds back more than it gives out .As an audience it does not exactly make you look forward to the movie. If this is a strategy to underplay expectations we do not know , the trailer could have been a little more intrigue generating. Given the fact that it is based on a crime thriller best seller.

The trailer however remains watchable for Sonakshi’s sincere screen presence –whether the end product is thrilling remains to be seen. Watch it here:
