We often complain that the film industry is not making good films or that we have forgotten the meaning of cinema and what we are producing today is an example of mindless dance-drama routine. But how about if we turn the table? How about if we say that we have enough of great films, both mainstream and offbeat, but we somewhere have turned a blind eye towards it. These films have mostly landed into trouble for their controversial subjects, realistic treatment and hence censorship. But they are not always the serious type, these underrated films which have been unnoticed and ignored are all sorts of films. They include the brutal reality type, funny type, beautifully shot, human interest stories and more.
