Tamasha is a movie about self discovery, about that inner battle we all fight, within ourselves to solve all the small and big problems of life. It's about love, lust and desires which Imtiaz Ali's bayen haath ka khel!

Tamasha is about the journey of a boy who grows up while listening to stories from a whimsical story teller and mistakes them for reality. According to this storyteller, all stories are the same! There's love, lust. fight and an end.

Ved Vardhan Sahni (Ranbir Kapoor) lives on the philosophies of these stories, but suppresses the storyteller inside him for his father's sake and becomes a Product Manager. He almost makes you believe that he has bipolar disorder. And then he meets Tara Maheshwari (Deepika Padukone) on a trip to Corsica. And what happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica quite literally! Ranbir and Deepika's 'Tamasha' or let's say journey can be a bit of deja vu trip for you all.

The two give you some splendid scenes in picturesque locations with a pinch of philosophy. They decide not to reveal their real identities to each other and call each other Don and Mona Darling. But, Mona Darling returns to her Don after four years amidst some excellent art direction, but Don doesn't!

Too bad, but these two take you on quite a relatable trip (especially for those people who've been in relationships) and deliver some of the best scenes of the year, including Agar Tum Saath Ho (The ultimate break up song of the decade). The dialogues of Tamasha are going to be a rage like Jab We Met.

Ranbir Kapoor is back with a bang as Ved Vardhan Sahni and he overshadows Deepika Padukone, who by the way is equally amazing in the film. You have to give Imtiaz Ali the credit to write such characters for the woman in his film who is not a mere glamour quotient, and actually has an empowering role to deliver. Tara's pretty blunt yet heartfelt advice for Ved turns the tables in Tamasha. Their chemistry still makes you wonder if they're still in love!

There's some brilliant and breathtaking art direction in the movie and for the first time a director manages to make India look as good as a foreign location. Kudos to Mr. Ali!

    A. R. Rahman's music album for Tamasha is a boon to 2015, owing to the amount of remixes, and immemorable songs we've had. From Matargashti to Wat Wat, Heer Toh Badi Sad Hai and Agar Tum Saath Ho, we can't thank him enough for a new playlist we'd been craving for all this while.

More than Ranbir and Deepika, Tamasha belongs to the creative genius Imtiaz Ali.

So whether Don gets Teja ka sona and his Mona Darling/Matahali or not, we won't tell, but we strongly recommend, Paisa Pheko Tamasha Dekho!
