Johnny Depp is back as Jack Sparrow.

Full of blazing ships and supernatural foes, the new trailer of the fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dean Men Tell No Tales, brought an atmosphere of adventure to 2017’s Super Bowl ads. But you won’t see Depp’s Sparrow until the very last shot. And then you see him...covered in mud.

The film, which releases in the US this May, will see the return of Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, the amiable pirate, who always seems to be one step ahead of trouble. This time, Captain Sparrow will be set up against a new foe — Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem — a ghost pirate who, we think could do with some moisturizer.

The one-and-a-half minute long trailer is set with Johnny Cash’s Ain’t No Grave playing the backdrop. Watch it below:

The cast playing pivotal characters - Geoffrey Rush (Captain Barbosa), Orlando Bloom (Will Turner), and Kevin McNally (Joshamee Gibbs) - will also all return with this film.

New additions to the franchise include Brenton Thwaites (in a major part) and Kaya Scodelario. But the biggest surprise will be Paul McCartney, who will be essaying a role not specified yet. When McCartney’s casting was announced, a Disney spokesman revealed the former Beatle would have an important scene in the film.

However, the production of the film has not been uneventful. The filming was briefly halted in March 2015 when Depp had injured his hand while shooting in Australia.
