Rajkummar Rao's 'Trapped' Promises To Be A Riveting Survival Drama

Rajkummar Rao's 'Trapped' Promises To Be A Riveting Survival Drama

After creating memorable films like Udaan and Lootera, we have been wondering for quite a while what filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane would do next. And after four years since his last project, the director is back with Trapped.

Starring mightily talented Rajkummar Rao, the film appears to be a riveting survival drama about a man getting stuck in his own house. According to reports, the plot will focus on the character being trapped in his house for 25 days, without food, water or electricity. And like most survival dramas, the film will strongly be dependent on the performance of its lead actor. And given Rajkummar Rao's track record, there are little doubts of that.

The film is also an intriguing entry in the director's filmography. Although this film has all the makings of a suspense thriller, his previous two projects are also really different from each other. While Udaan was a coming-of-age drama, Lootera was a period romance

The film is produced by Phantom Films, and is written by Amit Joshi and Hardik Mehta. It is set to release on March 17.
