Look Who Might Replace Ranveer Singh In Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Padmavati, another period drama, has become quite a push and pull project for the actors it is being offered to! The indecisive list of actors who are apparently walking in and out of the project seems to be growing each day.

The latest to join the league is Ranveer Singh who apparently has walked out of the film as he doesn’t want to do another period drama at this point in his career. By doing this he has sure killed many hopes of Deepika Ranveer fans who had built up hopes to see them sizzle on screen yet again after Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. Undeniably both films have been important milestones in Ranveer’s life but the actor now wants a break from such characters.

The even crazier bit of news on the new entrants to the film has been Shah Rukh Khan, who has been apparently offered Raveer’s character of Allaudin Khilji. Sanjay Leela Bhansali reportedly had Shah Rukh read the script and he even liked it! It would be Shah Rukh and Sajay’s reunion project if this arrangement works out as the two have previously worked on Devdas together.

Padmavati is the story of Rani Padmini who became Allaudin Khilji’s muse and wanted her even at the cost of waging a war at her husband Raja Ratan Singh.
