No Indian viewer who’s followed the unoffending space of entertainment in the 90’s can claim to have not admired the mindless doses of laughter Razak Khan delivered for so many years. A man, whose mere screen presence would reassure of you of a placid laugh, was often noticed while being on screen but somehow couldn’t garner the status that most other comedians of era did.

Playing a side kick to a gangster in most part of his career, Razak Khan as we believe could never make you hate him, despite of his efforts in making you hate him. It was as if the filmmakers back then didn’t know anybody other than him to sprinkle a taste of amusement amid everything else.

The slim, the very slim built with a face even more thin than you’d expect and the slender moustache with long side locks occupying most part of his appearance, his personality spoke of the irony he wanted to put in place. Razak in a pretty long career where he shared screen spaces with the who’s who of Bollywood created a style that people started associating him with. Now that’s one accomplishment not many in the industry can boast of.

You’d often find him take out a knife from his back pocket once he got in an argument with someone on screen, flaunt his chastised body (like he believed) and later beg for his life with expressions funny enough to make your moneys worth.
