    Sarabjit Singh was an Indian farmer who crossed the border from the state of Punjab in a drunken state one fateful night and since then he never came back home. He was arrested by the Pakistani rangers on the charges of spying and terrorism. Accused of the 1990 bomb attacks in Lahore and Faisalabad which killed 14 bystanders, Sarbajit was identified as Manjit Singh and he couldn't prove his innocence. Reports suggested that he was an undercover agent and worked as a spy for the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). 

    Sarabjit Singh's sister fought hard for his release but her struggle bore no result. A film by the same name, starring Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will release in May this year. The trailer of the film is gripping and is definitely not meant for the faint-hearted. The story is based on the real events that transpired and led to his death. A glimpse of Randeep Hooda is enough to haunt you and Aishwarya looks promising in the role of Dalbir Kaur. Richa Chadha plays the role of Sarabjit's wife and she is also too be seen in the trailer. From what it looks like, the story will be a gut-wrenching tale of the atrocities that Sarabjit faced in the Pakistan jail.
