2015: The Year That Changed Shahid Kapoor's Life
Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been hogging the limelight with their latest film Shaandaar. Ever since the big announcement was made Shalia became the most popular on-screen couple and everybody has been waiting for the film to release.

The year started with a bang for the 34-year-old actor, with the release of Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider in the second half of 2014. Shahid's acting was critically acclaimed and highly appreciated by the audience. Haider got Shahid his best actor award at IIFA and Filmfare and since then there has been no looking back.
Shahid's plate is full with big directors and meaty roles. But this wasn't the case with him always, he has been a part of mindless comedy films too. There was a time in his career when he was roped in for nonsensical films like Phata Poster and Chance Pe Dance. But now when the times have changed, Shahid is working again with Vishal Bhardwaj in Rangoon and Abhishek Chaubey in Udta Punjab.
The subject line (of both the films) is very different from what we have seen Shahid doing. He has already stepped out of the chocolate boy look with Haider and is continuing to do so. He plays an insomniac in Shaandaar, Udta Punjab deals with the problem of drug abuse in Punjab and Rangoon is a period film set against the backdrop of World War II. Shahid has worked on his looks, his acting and has left no stone unturned to make it big.
The magic that Shahid has recreated is not just on a 70mm screen, but he has carried the victory baton to the small screen too. He judged the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa ( we all know about Shahid's dancing skills) where he was well known for his friendly banter with Karan Johar. Shahid and Karan were two inseparable judges on the show.
Though we are not taking the credit away from Shahid Kapoor for his hard work but a lot has changed in his life since he got married to a much younger Mira Rajput.
#ShahidKiShaadi became one of the biggest news of 2015 not just because it was a star getting married but because he married a 22-year-old college girl from Delhi. Shamira cooked up a storm in the news with this big announcement and the two tied the knot on 7th July 2015.
Marriage has positively changed Shahid so much that he can neither resist talking about Mira nor does he mind answering questions related to her.
Shahid was lost for over 4 years and now he is all over the place. We are not wrong if we say that he has re-established himself and this year has indeed been great for him.
