Shivaay V Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Box Office: The Race To 100 Crores In Final Gear

After both Diwali biggies Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ended their first week tally on a high, the second weekend saw things getting more intense. For the first time in 10 days, the Ajay Devgn starrer Shivaay collected more than Karan Johar’s ADHM as it collected 4.61 crores in comparison to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s 4.56 crores.

On Saturday though, ADHM started leading again and raked in 5.85 crores while Shivaay earned 5.40 crores. After 9 days on their theatrical run, both films are showing enough signs of holding up well. While the Ranbir-Anushka starrer drama has collected 90 crores, Shivaay is currently placed with 80.42 crores. It will be interesting to see how both films accelerate on Sunday and get closer to the 100 crore mark.

While it is almost certain that ADHM will enter the 100 crore mark in a few days, Shivaay would have to continue dominating in single screens to make it to the club. While both movies got a vacant space with no Hindi film releasing, Hollywood’s Doctor Strange did make its presence felt and earned 6.09 crores. Considering this Hollywood release is mostly making the most from multiplexes and Imax, Shivaay is unlikely to get affected by its business. At the moment, both movies are refusing to give up at the ticket counters.
