The first teaser of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Simran is out and is already taking the internet by storm.

Released late Sunday, the 20-second-long video shows a mischievous Kangana goofing around and enjoying her life. There are frames that will remind you Kangana's other characters like Rani, Datto and Tanu even. The teaser is all happy happy, chirpy and will definitely take away all you monday blues.

Kangana plays the role of a Gujarati housekeeper who gets embroiled in crimes. According to reports, Rajkummar Rao may play a pivotal role in the movie.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, Simran is speculated to be based on a true crime story of an NRI nurse who robbed ba nks to pay off her gambling debts. Later, she was convicted and sentenced to 66 months jail in the US.

Written by Apurva M Asrani, the film will hit the screens on September 15. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Shailesh R Singh, Krishan Kumar & Amit Agarwal.
