SRK's 5 Daring Choices We Are Looking Forward To!

The last time we knew Shah Rukh Khan had signed as many as five projects with all of them scheduled to hit the screens one after the other in 2 years, it was probably the 90’s. The good old days when Shah Rukh would pull 3 shifts a day to keep up with the schedules of all the releases! Today in 2016, King Khan seems to have completed a full circle. At a time when actors are being too picky to appear on screen once in two years, Shah Rukh has decided to play this game on his own terms. The actor who had a major release a couple of weeks back is now readying himself for not one, not two but four future projects.

1. You know what’s exciting? The choices he’s made for himself all of these. While he’s still being applauded for having pulled one of his toughest roles in Fan, he will now be seen playing a Muslim Gangster and illegal trader in Rahul Dholakia’s Raees. Who’s Rahul Dholakia? The same man who gave us as scandalous a movie as Parzania.

2. Post this, he does Gauri Shinde’s next! Gauri Shinde, the filmmaker who with her out of the box treatment in her debut directorial crafted a film like English Vinglish. Shah Rukh apparently plays a love mentor to Alia Bhatt in this romance ridden drama. Make no mistake, the actor is unlikely to romance anybody out here either. If keeping up to a pacey schedule, Gauri Shinde’s yet to be titled flick comes out this year, this will be the first time in 12 years that Shah Rukh will have a hat-trick of movies in a calendar year. While he’s been working days and nights to wrap up the last leg of Raees followed by Gauri’s next, the actor in all amazement signed up Aanand L. Rai and Imtiaz Ali’s next!

3. Like playing an obsessive fan with a double role, a Muslim Mafia wasn’t enough, he will portray a role not many throughout their career have pulled. Shah Rukh as confirmed by Aanand himself will play a dwarf in his next, that we hear is going to be an out of the box love story! Shah Rukh has to be exceedingly brave or plainly stupid for having taken such a huge risk at this junction of this career.

4. Now moving to the very last subject of choice he’s given a nod for, it is Imtiaz Ali! Imtiaz, who despite being placed in the mainstream region of film industry is known for his eccentric style of filmmaking. It’s a no brainer that Shah Rukh will have something out of the ordinary to offer here.
