If you think he's attempted something new, think again!
You must have heard a similar story from your grandma or read it in the Ramayan. According to Hindu mythology, God Indra possesed a stone which had miraculous powers which could turn anyone into anyother person they wanted. Indra tried to sexually assault the wife of Gautam Maharishi of how Ahilya, who fell prey to the arrogant curse of her own husband, when he he found them in a compromising situation. Indra disguised himself as Gautam Maharishi and ended up getting cursed by the saint as well. Ahilya sadly was turned into a stone by her husband.
Later, when Lord Ram passed by the place where Ahilya was cursed, he touched the stone with his feet, and she became a human again!
While Sujoy's Ahalya seems to be inspired from the same tale, his attempt at this short film proves yet again, that this man is a genious!
The film that features Radhika Apte, Soumitra Chatterjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury is one thriller which will not disappoint you!
