    Here's All You Need To Know About The Costliest Film In The History Of Indian Cinema, 'The Mahabharata'!

    We have had films in the in the Indian film industry that will astound you with their cost of production. We have two Baahubali movies in two parts that cost 180 crore and 250 crores. Rajnikant’s upcoming movie 2.0 spent a whopping 400 crores. But hold your breath; the costliest film in the history is underway!

    The film:

    The film has been named "The Mahabharata". It is the cinematic adaptation of M.T. Vasudevan Nair's Jnanpeeth Award winning novel, "Randamoozham" which narrates the story of Mahabharata from the point of view of Bheema.

    Why it is the costliest movie?

    Well till now the costliest movie to be made was 2.0 that cost some 400 crores. But ‘The Mahabharata’ will use almost 2.5 times the money used for 2.0! Yes, the estimated cost of production for the movie is 1000 crores!

    UAE based business tycoon, B.R.Shetty had announced yesterday that he will be investing in the film.

    The cast and crew:

    The film will be directed by V.A. Shrikumara Menon, a top-notch ad film-maker! Malayalam actor Mohanlal will be seen as Bheema. The film will also have many Hollywood names in its cast and crew! It is also expected that many well known Indian celebs would be seen in the movie.

    Other details:

    ‘The Mahabharata’ will made in English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telegu and Kannada and will also be dubbed in other Indian and foreign languages.

    The film will be made in two parts. The first part will release in 2020 and the second part will be releasing just after 90 days. The shooting will start from next year.
