    Set in the partition period of 1947, the actress will play the role of a brothel owner. The film is the remake of 2015's Bengali film Rajkahini and will also star Gauahar Khan, Naseeruddin Shah and Ila Arun.

    The film is scheduled for release on April 14, 2017.

    The actress is reportedly on the verge of signing the spin-off of Rajnikanth's last film Kabali. According to reports, the spin-off will be directed by Ranjith who directed the last film and will be produced by Dhanush.

    Produced by T-Series, the actress will be seen as a radio jockey (RJ) named Sulochana, lovingly called Sulu, in this light-hearted comedy film. The film will be directed by Suresh Trivani. In a statement the actress revealed: “Sulu is like that nimbu (lemon)… you add nimbu for taste or then add it to balance taste; zesty and versatile! I think she will unleash my naughty side."

    The film will reportedly release on December 1, 2017.
