The 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards were held on Sunday in Hollywood and Comedian Ricky Gervais hosted the ceremony for the fourth time. He started the night with an eight-minute long monologue. Audience got a hint of what was was coming their way when he stared by saying, "I want to do this monologue and then go into hiding."

He started with picking upon NBC, the channel which was broadcasting the event. For Gervais, NBC is the only channel that is fair and impartial and also the one with zero nominations. Ricky's changing definition was substantiated with Bruce Jenner's defination of change. For Ricky he is a changed man but not as much as  Bruce has changed.

Ricky Gervais spoke about the money gap between men and woomen which has been one of the burning issues of this year. He also picked on actors like Jennifer Lawrence for demanding equal wage for women. The monlogue ended with the comedian talking to the winners because for him, "no one cares about the awards as much as they do."
