2016 Bollywood Report Card: 8 Remixes Of Popular Old Bollywood Songs That Literally KILLED It This Year!

Old melodies are comfort zones all music fans visit when have had enough of the loud and noisy beats of the popular party numbers that go viral today. But Bollywood’s obsession of recreating every popular old song that we ever loved is certainly going a little overboard and as fans of good music we have certainly come to point where we are live in the constant fear as to which of our old school favorites will Bollywood ruin now!

2016 has been one such year where one remixes came after and some even after being much awaited and heavily promoted became our worst Bollywood memories from the year. Here are some iconic songs that Bollywood ruined for us in 2016.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass - This epic iconic number by none other than Kishore Kumar was so wonderfully ruined in Wajah Tum Ho, that we felt like getting hit by a truck or something, Anything that could take the pain away of listening to this unimpressive cover of one of our favorite old melodies.

Maahi Ve - This sexy dance number from Kaante hd us drooling over Malaika when it came out in 2002 and the this re invention of the song in Wajah Tum Ho, made us shut our eyes and cringe to say the least. A typical example that shows that over doing sexy make it look desperate!

Aeise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho  - The third song ruined by Wajah Tum Ho and yet again a Kishore Kumar song, this sensual number was golden in orginal and it's Wajah Tum Ho version is not even worth stones. We simply want to ask the makers of this movie why ruin so many beautiful songs all at once??

Koi Fariyaad - Not only did the makers of Tum Bin 2 ruin the orginal for us producing this sequel but they also ruined the beautiful ghazal of Jagjit Singh Koi Fariyad which was in the movie titled as Teri Fariyad. The bigger disapoointment was that a singer like Rekha Bharadwaj coudn't save the revamped version.

Oye Oye - This original number from Tridev was a major hit and this recreated number a major heart attack. The renewed version from Azhar only remined us of the original to appreciate how good that was and how disappointing this one is.

Katte Nahi Katte - This sensual number from Mr. India took our breath away in the original Anil Kapoor and Sridevi version, but the second take on ethe song in Force 2 was nothing short of annoyance.

Humma Humma - The latest number to join the disappointing league, this A.R. Rahman genius has been ruined in the most grand fashion by Badhsah, and with that another fond memory went down the remixing drain.

Sara Zamana - No one can parallel Amitabh Bachchan's screen pressence as we saw in the orginal number, even if it is the super hot Urvashi Rautela. The nostalgia to the song was certainly tarnished with this not so impressive revised version of this super hit number in Kaabil.

Bollywood quite literally KILLED it with the song in 2016. Personal appologies would be really appriciated!
