Nawazuddin Siddiquiis one of the finest actors working in the industry today. With the sheer amount of talent he possesses, he ranks far ahead of some big Bollywood stars and has an unparalleled fan following amongst the art-house cinema and commercial cinema fans. He is also one of the busiest actors ever as he is juggling between big-budget films, indies, shorts and web series. The actor turns 44 today and was born in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh and is the eldest of 8 siblings. He did his Bachelors in Chemistry and worked as a Chemist in Gujarat before coming to Delhi where he was instantly drawn towards acting after watching a play. He graduated from the prestigious National School of Drama and from there on started his long struggle with Bollywood.Slow StartThe actor graduated from the NSD in 1996 and moved to Mumbai in hopes of making it big in the industry. He appeared in a small role in Aamir Khan's Sarfarosh and followed this with similar kind of roles in films like Shool, Jungle, and Munnabhai MBBS. It was getting difficult for the actor to secure prominent roles because of his looks and wasn't even to secure spots in TV serials.SurvivingHe couldn't go back to his village as he turning back was not an option for him. He had chosen this profession for him because he believed that he could excel here but innumerable rejections were not helping his case. By his own words, 2004 was probably one of the hardest years for him as he couldn't afford to pay rent and stayed with a senior in exchange for cooking meals from him.BreakthroughHe appeared inAnurag Kashyap's Dev D and then in 2010's Peepli live in which his role as a journalist brought him widespread recognition and rave reviews. He then appeared in Patang: The Kite andMiss Lovelyboth of which premiered at International Film Festivals in 2012 and he received positive reviews for his performances. He scored a role as a short-tempered intelligence officer in Sujoy Ghosh'sKahaaniand as Faisal Khan in Anurag Kashyap's gangster sagaGangs of Wasseypur.Mainstream recognition in IndiaHis successful outings in Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur, Talaash catapulted him into the big leagues. Everyone was now aware of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the unlimited talent he possessed. No longer, he was the guy who pickpocketed in Munnabhai MBBS. He started getting lead roles and changed the way how actors were looked at in the movies. His supporting turn inThe Lunchboxand as the lead antagonist in blockbusterKickcemented his popularity.Continued SuccessNow a certified great actor, he is starring opposite the big guns and holding his own in all the films. He is also starring in acclaimed short films like Carbon and will soon be debuting in web series with Netflix's Sacred Games and Amazon Prime's MacMafia. He is set to appear as Bal Thackeray in his biopic Thackeray and will portray legendary poet Manto. He had a great 2017 as he starred opposite legends like Sridevi and Shah Rukh Khan.Balancing ActNawaz is one of those rare breeds of actors who can effortlessly slip into any role. Be it the role of a journalist, a psychopath, a killer, a common man or an underworld don, Nawaz manages to breathe life into these characters. He selects the projects which have more content in them rather than going after money and almost all of his projects have been received positively. We have to thank our stars that an actor like Nawazuddin Siddiqui exists today and is leading from the front.

Vijay Sethupathi struggled in the industry for almost a decade before he got his first break as a male lead. In fact, his first big role was that of a villain in Sasikumar’s Sundarapandian. Since 2012, in just six years the man has redefined roles and cinematic performances with his choices. Most of his films have worked wonders in the box office, and he now has about 2 dozen projects in the pipeline. In the 20-odd films that he has worked, here is a list of our favourites and the 10 others that he is looking forward to, we have listed five that we cannot wait to watch.Vijay Sethupathi of the past:Soodhu Kavvum:Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak and Karunakaran came together for this Nalan Kumarasamy directorial. Four actors who were yet to make a mark in the industry with the help of an excellent story entertained the audience no end. The comic caper set a new tone to multi-starrer comedies and introduced a promising director to Kollywood. One of the best things about Vijay Sethupathi is the fact that he makes the roles his own, so much so, it is hard to see someone else in the same role.Pannaiyarum Padminiyum:Pannaiyarum Padminiyum is about a Fiat PAL Premier Padmini, which is now a vintage car. How a landlord from a village falls in love with Premium Padmini. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of a young driver appointed by the landlord. How an entire village falls in love with the car and how their life changes after the car comes into their life is a beautiful and unique tale. Sethupathi worked with another debut director and it worked in his favour.Naanum Rowdy Thaan:Definitely another unforgettable role. Sethupathi plays a smart ‘rowdy’, Pandiyan aka Pondy Pandi who doesn’t use violence. His antics in the film are hilarious, especially considering his mother (Radhika Sarathkumar) plays a cop. He then meets Kadhambari (Nayanthara), a girl with hearing disability, and falls in love with her. The twist in the love story comes in the form of Nayanthara’s revenge. The debut film of Vignesh Shivn, the comic timing in this film, especially Parthiban’s role is excellent!Iraivi:A Karthik Subbaraj directorial, the director and Vijay Sethupathi collaborated for the second time. The result was a film that loved and hated equally. The film had Bobby Simha, Vijay Sethupathi and SJ Suryah in lead roles. The movie did not go well among many viewers who considered it to be misogynistic and reeking of patriarchy. Through it all, the characters still shined for their splendid portrayal.Vikram Vedha:The best Indian film of 2017 according to IMBD, this film’s high point is that there is no protagonist or antagonist. It’s all shades of grey, and the balance between the two characters is impeccable. “Oru Kadha Sollata sir,” is how Vijay Sethupathi’s character Vedha tries to reel in the cop Vikram played by R Madhavan. He doesn’t just pique Vikram’s interest, he has reeled the audience in.Vijay Sethupathi of the future:SeethakathiHi friends, Here is#VijaySethupathi25#SeethakaathiFirst Look Poster 😍😍#HBDVijaySethupathi#vsp25#seethakaathiFL#vijaysethupathipic.twitter.com/uExsKhkKtW— Balajitharaneetharan (@balajitharaneet)January 15, 2018On Vijay Sethupathi’s birthday the first look of his upcoming film with director Balaji Tharaneetharan was released online. The character poster has left us stunned with Vijay Sethupathi’s talent for transformation. He seems to play the role of an old man in the film, and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for viewers.Super DeluxeVijay Sethupathi’s role in Super Deluxe/ Aneedhi Kathaigal in one of the most intriguing ones in his career. He plays the role of a transgender in the film directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. His look in the film surfaced online and went viral leaving fans stunned at his transformation. Not only Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Samantha Akkineni who plays the role of Vaembu. So far, very little has been revealed about the project, but the fact that Directors Nalan Kumarasamy, Neelan and Mysskin have reportedly been roped in to write screenplay is exciting.’96Another film that we cannot wait to see of Vijay Sethupathi is ’96. His role in the film is unclear and the buzz is that he might play the role of a travel photographer in the film. Trisha’s look in the film accompanied with a child by her side left us wondering what the film was centred on. The title is to signify that the two lead characters are from the same batch of schooling - 1996. The film is a debut project of cinematographer C Prem Kumar.Sye Raa Narasimha ReddyVijay Sethupathi is going to be making his debut in Tollywood with Chiranjeevi starrer - Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The actor will not be playing the lead role in this, but the fact that he is a part of a biopic that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara and others is interesting enough. Also, Vijay Sethupathi has held his own in multi-starrers before. So it would be interesting to see how he comes across while sharing screen space with senior actors.Untitled Mani Ratnam projectMani Ratnam films are exciting enough, and when you combine that with names like Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Arvind Swami, Simbu, Jyothika and Prakash Raj it becomes a film to watch out for. Actors of such talent coming together to share screen space in a ‘Mani Sir’ film gives one high expectations. So far, it is speculated that Vijay Sethupathi could be donning the khaki to play a cop.The author tweets@Priyanka_S_MCCFollow@htshowbizfor more

The last year of the 2nd millennium had a lot of interesting things lined up for Bollywood. The year 2000 was a successful one for romantic films like Dhadkan, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Mohabbatein etc while comedies like Hera Pheri, Kunwara, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge became huge hits. There was also a star kid making his debut in the Hindi Film industry in a film titledKaho Naa Pyaar Haiand from his very first film he became the heartthrob of the nation.Fast forward to 2018 and you will seeHrithik Roshanis one of the biggest stars working in Bollywood today. The actor has made a name for himself by starring in a number of acclaimed films as well as monstrous blockbusters and has a huge fan following thanks to his Greek God looks and a chiselled body that gives fitness goals to anyone who sees him. The actor has admirers all over the world and leading celebrities from Hollywood and other industries have admitted to being a crazy Hrithik fan.His very first film scooped all the major awards and was inducted into Limca Book of records for winning the highest number of awards (102). He also won the Filmfare award for the best Male Debut as well as for the best actor and beat the likes ofShah Rukh Khan. The romantic-thriller became a blockbuster at the box-office and Hrithik received praise for his acting and dancing skills. With his very first film, he attained superstardom. He had a successful debut year with his other 2 films Fiza and Mission Kashmir also performing well at the box-office. The young actor then did a number of films, most of them being romantic films and they tanked at the box-office. His only success during this dry spell was Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and it wasn't until 2003'sKoi Mil Gayaafter which he became a force to reckon with. He diversified his portfolio and took on challenging roles, be it the directionless Karan in Lakshya or a master thief in Dhoom2.He took a risk with Dhoom 2 which paid off successfully at the box-office and the film became a huge success. His acting, physique and dancing skills were praised youngsters started copying their favourite star. After Shah Rukh Khan, it seemed like only Hrithik can pull off a negative character successfully. The actor also took on the role of a superhero in Krrish and became India's modern day superhero. While other actors also tried their hands at the superhero genre, nobody saw widespread success like Krrish. He took on a number of different roles which received widespread critical acclaim and showed the audiences his range as an actor. In Jodha Akbar, he essayed the role of Mughal King Akbar while in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, he played the role of a paralyzed magician who seeks permission from the court to end his life. Guzaarish received highly positive reviews from everyone saying it was Hrithik's best performance to date. In Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, he played the role of an overworked employee who has forgotten that life outside work exists and reconnects with friends and himself. Most of the people connected with his character. The actor has continued his success streak at the box-office with films like Agneepath, Krrish 3 and Bang Bang becoming hugely successful at the box-office. The only flop he has starred in since Guzaarish is Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro. His latest release Kaabil was also a box-office success. But since 2011'sZindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the actor hasn't experimented with his roles and characters and has mostly stayed in a comfort zone playing roles he can perfectly ace. While it is heartening to see all the box-office success he is getting, his fans also expect to see the actor in different avatars and in different settings. There was a time when he was seen portraying a variety of different characters and audiences are waiting for something different from him. The actor will be essaying the role of Anand Kumar in Super 30 biopic and audiences are going to see him in a different avatar.Even after an 18-year long career, his stardom is intact, ever-increasing and audience's love for him has only grown stronger. Here's wishing him a Happy 44th Birthday!

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan wrote a long, emotional Instagram post to wish his niece Navya Nanda Naveli on her 20th birthday on Wednesday. Remembering all the cute moments he spent with Navya during her childhood, Abhishek wondered when she grew up into a confident and young woman.“When did you grow from this to the elegant lady you are today? When did you grow from mamu picking you up from the airport to you coming to pick him up at the airport? When did you grow from mamu singing you to sleep to both of us staying up all night dancing?
