These 2018 Releases Of Akshay, Sonam, Anushka, Ash, Anil, Rajkummar, Shahid, Deepika, And Sushant Have This One Thing Common

It all started with Rustom . Once Akshay Kumar came on board for this KriArj Entertainment production and delivered a 100 crore success, there was no looking back for producers Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor. Soon enough they put Toilet - Ek Prem Katha on floors and that turned out to be yet another 100 crore success with Akshay Kumar.

Buoyed by two back to back century superhits, the production house has now elevated its plans further. Add to this as many as eight more films which are in different stages of production.

With KriArj is the only production house to have such a prolific line up of films in months to come, they are rightly demonstrating their 'Dus Ka Dum'. No wonder, they are associated with some of the most prolific superstars and actors in the industry today, most notable being Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor , John Abraham , Anushka Sharma , Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor , Rajkummar Rao , Shahid Kapoor , Deepika Padukone , Irrfan Khan , Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan .

PadMan

 

After Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, this is yet another social film for which Akshay Kumar and KriArj have joined hands. No one could have ever imagined that film would be made on sanitary napkins. However, there was a strong conviction demonstrated and as a woman, Prernaa thought quite highly about the concept as well which was put to fore by Twinkle Khanna . PadMan would begin a campaign for KriArj in 2018.

Parmanu - The Pokhran Story

 

Trying their hands with different cinema, KriArj is also ready with Parmanu - The Pokhran Story which is based on a true tale. The man in the midst of all is just perfect as well, what with John Abraham as the central protagonist. He has delivered a good solo success in the form of Madras Cafe which belonged to the same genre and one waits to check out what does he have to offer with Parmanu - The Pokhran Story.

Pari

 

The very title could well suggest a fairy tale offering but then the solitary still from the film pretty much conveys loud and clear that Pari is anything but a fairy tale. With Anushka Sharma returning as a solo lead after Phillauri, all eyes are on what she has to deliver. Moreover, there is bound to some further curiosity around the film since Pari would be her first release after marriage. The film is already complete.

Fanne Khan

 

Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming together is a reason to rejoice in itself. However, given the fact that KriArj is making films that are different from routine, there is Rajkummar Rao added to all the fun as well, hence making Fanne Khan an interesting story to look forward to. The film is set for an Eid release and this light-hearted affair is bound to add on to the festivities.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu

 

This is as interesting a title as it gets and one has to give it to KriArj and their Toilet - Ek Prem Katha director Shree Narayan Singh for going ahead with full conviction. Though not much has been revealed around the storyline as yet, indications are that it is a satire in the offering with electricity menace as the hot topic. Shahid Kapoor would be seen in this film after going all heavy duty in Padmavati.

Vishal Bhardwaj's next with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan

 

Though Honey Trehan was earlier on board as a director, it is now Vishal Bhardwaj who is taking over the mantle. The film is said to be set in the world of mafia and has Deepika Padukone as the central element with Irrfan Khan playing a pivotal part as well. The film is set to go on floors soon enough and then gear up for release around Gandhi Jayanti.

Kedarnath

 

The film is in news for its release date and while one waits to see if it indeed releases on Christmas 2018 or some other timelines, rest assured it would be one of the most talked about in months to come. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor , the film features Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role with Sara Ali Khan (daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh) making her debut as the leading lady. This one has to be special.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's next (Raat aur Din adaptation)

 

One of the (pleasantly) surprising announcements of the current season, this adaptation of Nargis Dutt's film Raat aur Din would feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the central protagonist. As per the plotline of the yesteryear film, the leading lady plays a split personality who has a different role to play in 'raat' aur 'din'. Expect KriArj to push the envelope yet again for this film which would soon be getting its final title.
