War Box Office: Hrithik Roshan And Tiger Shroff Storms At BO Has Already Broken The Records Held By These Films

As expected, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War has shattered multiple records on the very first day at the box-office. The action extravaganza directed by Siddharth Anand has managed to earn a mind numbing Rs. 51.60 crores on its first day just from the Hindi version while the Tamil and Telugu versions have added another Rs.1.75 crores which means that the film has managed to earn a never-heard-before Rs. 53.35 crores as the opening collection.

With this feat, War has managed to shatter records that were previously held by not only Hindi films but Hollywood and Tollywood releases. Also, we are not just talking about any films, these are the ones that shattered previous records by a huge margin and some have been holding on to it for a while now. Thugs Of Hindosthan

Last year’s Diwali release Thugs Of Hindostan, starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh turned out to be the biggest disaster. However, the film had generated a lot of buzzes and just the Hindi version recorded the highest ever opening the collection with a staggering Rs. 50.75 crores and the Tamil and Telugu version took that number to Rs. 52.25 crores. However, War has managed to beat TOH on both counts and now is the highest opener in Bollywood ever.

Avengers: Endgame

Hrithik and Tiger’s has not only broke the record of Bollywood films but has given the Hollywood biggies a run for its money. Previously, Avengers: Endgame held the record for being the highest opener at the India box-office with Rs.53.10 crores as its opening day collection. However, War’s Rs. 53.35 crores triumph even over that staggering amount.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi)

People would still recall the mayhem that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion caused the day it opened. The film collected a whopping Rs 121 crores on Day 1 and while that record remains untouched, War has managed to trump over the collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’s Hindi version which earned Rs. 40.75 crores on the first day.

Tiger Zinda Hai

How can we talk box-office and not bring Salman Khan into the picture? His 2017 New Year release Tiger Zinda Hai is one of the biggest hits of Bollywood ever and till now it held the record for being the film with the highest advance booking collection of Rs. 24.76 crores. However, that number has also been blown away by War with an all-time highest advance booking collection for a Hindi film( excluding Avengers: End Game, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi and Thugs Of Hindostan in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) with about 30 crores.
