Akshay Kumar’s Kesari To Release In Japan, Actor Shares The Release Date

Looks like the run of Bollywood films in Asian markets is not going to slow down any time soon. With staggering successes of the films like Dangal, Secret Superstar and more in China, Bollywood has found a loyal base of Asian audiences to benefit from.

Recently, it was Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil that released at the Chinese box-office. The film fell short of its box-office aspirations, but that has clearly not deterred Indian producers to further thrust into the Asian markets. Recently, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that his film Kesari is all set to release in Japan. According to the tweet, the film will hit the Japanese theatres on August 16^th, 2019. Interestingly, another film of Akshay Kumar, Mission Mangal will hit the Indian theatres on August 15^th.

Previously, films like PK, 3 Idiots, Bajraangi Bhaijaan and even Akshay Kumar’s Padman has been released in Punjab. Padman, in fact, managed to rake in approx Rs. 4.78 at the Japanese box-office which might not seem like much, but can be considered a decent collection given Bollywood has just started expanding into the Japanese territory.
