The film clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and opened to a decent collection of Rs. 15.55 crores on Thursday. However, the collection dipped sharply on Friday when the film managed to collect only about Rs. 8.84 crores which was a little disappointing. After taking Saturday’s collection into account, the film now stands at Rs. 35.29 crores.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film is based on the controversial Batla House encounters of 2008 in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar. John Abraham, in the film, has played the role of super-cop Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who was responsible for the actual encounter.
