Chhichhore Box-Office Collection Day 2: Sushant-Shraddha Starrer Takes A Jump Owing To Good Word Of Mouth

After the legendary success of Dangal, all eyes were on Nitesh Tiwari for his second directorial Chhichhore. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma and Naveen Polishetty in leading roles the film is picking up pace after a somewhat limited start.

On Friday, the film opened with Rs. 7.32 crores at the box-office and went on to collect about Rs. 12.25 crores. The films showed an upward jump of about 67.35% which is a massive one and is being largely benefitted by the good word of mouth. At the end of two days, the total collection of the film stands at about Rs. 19.57 crores.  According to trade pundits, if the jump sustains then there is no reason why the film cannot have a first-weekend collection of more than Rs. 35 crores.

Chhichhore is a movie about a bunch of college friend having a sort of reunion under unlikely circumstances when they are in their mid-fifties. The film is being liked because of its nostalgic portrayal of college life, easy humor and stellar performances. The film also brings Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor on-screen together for the first time.
